Personal Lines Account Manager

Primary Role

  • Overall management of assigned accounts including producer and house clients.
  • Market/retain assigned accounts.
  • Provide ongoing day to day service to assigned accounts.
  • Assist clients if another assigned account manager is unavailable.


  • Perform all transactions on an account, including but not limited to:
    • Applications including supplemental applications
    • Quotes and quote presentation
    • Endorsements
    • Audits (as necessary on domestic workers compensation policies)
    • Collection of loss runs and review of same
    • Billing in system as necessary
    • Follow up on open items
    • Follow up on cancellation notices/follow up with client on agency bill payments
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner, including but not limited to:
    • Returning voicemails immediately.
    • Responding to emails in a timely manner – if cc’d on an email with others and able to respond – do so.
  • Respond to co-workers in a timely manner.
  • Collect renewal data on assigned accounts as needed.
    • Work proactively with producer on VIP renewals.
    • Utilize Winrater/Realtime and/or submit appropriate paperwork for quotations.
    • Negotiate with underwriters.
    • Compare renewal quotations including reviewing endorsements lists for enhancements/exclusions.
    • Review policy forms/wording for any areas of coverage that are unclear.
    • Review renewals/endorsements to ensure policies are received as requested and sent to insured in a timely manner.
    • Quote new business/additional lines of coverage for existing clients or referrals from existing clients.
  • Maintain client file in TAM, including but not limited to:
    • Applications
    • Entering activities and following up as appropriate
    • Entering activities to document client/insurance company conversations
    • Attaching email correspondence with clients/insurance company representatives
    • Additional responsibilities/projects as required by producer or manager
